Upper Division
JUNIOR HIGH
We understand that the middle school years are major, transitional years and Union Grove Christian School desires this to be a positive time of growth for your child.
During these years, the understanding of what the student believes deepens into an understanding of why they believe. At UGCS, students are afforded many opportunities to grow in godly behaviors while having fun along the way. It is our prayer that UGCS will be a source to help students discover God’s plan for their lives.
Union Grove Christian School is committed to providing an excellent education based on a firm foundation of God’s Word. Our goal is to help develop a perspective that enables students to understand, appreciate, and live a Christian life in the world in which God has placed them. The education each student receives will enhance their ability to separate truth from error, not only in Bible doctrine but also in the facts and issues of their everyday life.
Our middle school uses the Abeka and Bob Jones Press curricula, well-known and nationally recognized Christian programs, as well as the Saxon math curriculum. The Bible classes use Positive Action for Christ, emphasizing an overview of the Old Testament in seventh grade and the New Testament in eighth grade. We use The King James version of the Bible for all Bible recitation and classroom work.

MINUTEMEN
The Minutemen program is designed to provide students in grades 6 – 8 opportunities to mature and develop in settings designed exclusively for them. In the Minutemen program, we promote the “4 C’s”: Community, Chapels, Conduct, and Competition. We conduct monthly chapels, hold weekly competitions, and provide regular service opportunities (i.e. Operation Christmas Child, Miracle League, Give a Kid a Coat). The classes compete throughout the year and are rewarded quarterly. All of this is for the purpose of directing and leading the students into a closer, personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
